Mayyadda, Sat. July 1, 8:00pm

Mayyadda’s performance opening our season in 2022 was breathtaking. We are thrilled to have her back. We hope you’ll join us!

BIOGRAPHY: The People’s Psalmist. A singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer – not to mention a native of Minneapolis (word to Prince) – Mayyadda is a gifted artist who uses her music to make people slow down, find themselves in another perspective, and feel their way towards individual and collective healing.

With an eclectic mix of neo-soul vocals, folksy guitar, pop-style piano with trap beats sprinkled in for flavor, she likes to refer to her genre as “BlackGirlMagic.”

An active recording artist since 2015, Mayyadda has released four projects including her debut full length album TRY&REM

EMBER, a sonic journey through the risks one takes on their way to healing.
