The Orange Goodness Sat. August 10th, at 7:30

THE ORANGE GOODNESS- is an exciting groove-infused alt/indie rock group that creates out of Minneapolis, Minnesota and features Mike Michel (guitars, vocals) Ian Allison (bass) and Reese Kling (drums). This music collaboration grew organically from a solo acoustic recording and auditory health music campaign Mike Michel created called On The Mend. Mike was afforded the opportunity to perform the songs from On The Mend on multiple stages throughout the Midwest as a solo artist, but decided to expand the performance experience to a full electric band which led to the addition of Minnesota session aces, Ian and Reese. Their collective chemistry was immediate, vibrant, and exploratory! To celebrate this new music birth, The Orange Goodness released their debut single, Dare I Do, in 2020 and in the the fall of 2021, their debut EP, Flying Under The Radar Of Chaos, hit the airwaves and wifi networks of the world! Thanks to their reputations as high energy performers and diverse session musicians, The Orange Goodness have been invited to many unique festivals, house concerts, clubs and theaters around the Midwest!

The Orange Goodness are steadfast in their mission to be an all inclusive, ageless, genre less music group!

ADAPTION & REINVENTION- Post pandemic The Orange Goodness were inspired by numerous comedians who have built their careers via podcasting and wide angle social media outreach. The Orange Goodness have created their own social media T.V Channel (Orange G TV) that includes weekly formatted programming on IG, FB, YT & TT. These video series include music education videos for aspiring artists, music wisdom videos for music fans, and of course live action performance videos!

HEROES- All great artists are shaped by their inspirations! Paying homage to the musicians that fuel and help you form “your sound” is a crucial component to being a complete musician. The Orange Goodness Indie/alt influences come from artful artists like St. Vincent, Beck, Gorillaz, Cake, Bjork, The Black Keys and Jack White. The groove influences come from artists like Vulfpeck, The Meters, D’Angelo, The Roots and vintage R&B music. Side note, The Orange Goodness regularly transforms into a backup band for many Minnesota MC’s & Poets (see session credits below). It takes a special combination of circumstances to create a long lasting impactful music collaboration and empowerment driven music hub. The Orange Goodness feel they are on the path to do so. Mike, Ian and Reese are thrilled to present their recordings and quality content to the planet. Thanks for reading and listening!
