Join us for our 2nd show of the season! Logistics on the event can be found here.

IAMJOY is a pop adjacent project of Rosie Castano that stems from, and gives love, hope, and joy.

Rosie Castano started writing when she was eight years old, as a way to process her feelings. It was, and still is, the ultimate truth teller when it comes to understanding her emotions towards a situation. Over the years, Rosie’s writing style has dipped into different genres – jazz, funk, rock, and folk – with a constant underlying focus on pop. Taking inspiration from artists such as, Dominic Fike, Remi Wolf, and RAYE. Rosie’s artist project is called IAMJOY, and she classifies her music as “Nature Pop”, performing with the intention of the audience leaving with more joy, and love than when they arrived.

What better a place to perform “Nature Pop”, with her intention, than under the Grand Oak. We hope you’ll join us!

How does it all work? FAQs for the Show this Saturday!

Never been to a show? Here are some quick FAQs for the Cherokee Social Show this Saturday the 28th at 7:30. We hope you’ll join us!

Do I need tickets before the show? No. There are no tickets. You can pay with cash or a credit card when we open the gates. Suggested donation is $15/adult, but no one is turned away based on how much they pay. 100% of your donation goes to the artists thanks to our sponsors!

What if I’ve never been to a show? Over half the people at every show are new. You won’t be alone. You might see someone you know, but radical hospitality and making sure everyone feels welcome (attendees and artists) is one of our most important values. All of the staffing for this comes from volunteers, and everyone contributes to the experience just by being there.

When do I arrive? We open the gate generally at 6:30. Earliest arrivals get the best locations, but we have never turned anyone away. The show is one set, and done by about 9:00.

What do I bring? Bring a chair, and anything you want to eat or drink. Make it a picnic if you want. You can bring a blanket but we advise arriving early. We have some extra chairs if you need one.

What about bathrooms? We have bathrooms in our house that are available to everyone once the gates open.

Getting here – what do you recommend? Most people drive but we have spaces in our front yard to lock up your bikes. If you drive, please be considerate of our neighbors and make sure you don’t block driveways. Transit info is in the event link. Our yard is wheelchair accessible and everything in the yard is level (no stairs) but our bathrooms may not be fully accessible.

What else? No pets. If we’ve forgotten anything just let us know.
